継 -Tsunagu-

The "Tsunagu" costume symbolizes the fusion of ancient Japanese culture with the foreign influences brought to Japan from the Tang Dynasty during the Heian period, representing the birth of a new, blended cultural identity.

The upper half of the costume draws inspiration from Chinese-style attire, reflecting the aesthetic influences of the Tang Dynasty, while the lower half features traditional Japanese garments worn by women of the time, such as mō (skirt) and kimono in colors that were prevalent during the Heian period.

The Tsunagu costume is a visual representation of cultural exchange, bridging two distinct traditions to create a harmonious blend that embodies the evolution of Japan's heritage.
