The knotted ribbons symbolize these once-in-a-lifetime connections (一期一会 ichigo ichie), capturing the bonds formed in the ever-changing flow of time. This costume serves as a visual expression of both time’s transience and the enduring ties it creates.

A standout feature is the haori, crafted from a repurposed coat—a bold experiment in design. This innovative approach reflects a fusion of tradition and modernity, breathing new life into Kyoto’s timeless aesthetic.
